FAQ

  • What is psychotherapy, and how can it help me?

Psychotherapy is a collaborative process between you and a trained therapist that helps you explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It can support personal growth, help manage stress, anxiety, or depression, improve relationships, and guide you through life transitions.

  • What types of therapy do you offer?

I offer evidence-based and holistic approaches, tailored to your unique needs. This may include individual therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and dialectical behavioral therapy.

  • How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply want support navigating life’s challenges, therapy can be a safe and confidential space to gain insight and practical tools. It’s also helpful for personal growth, self-understanding, and strengthening relationships.

  • Do you offer a consultation before starting therapy?

Yes! I offer a free 15-minute consultation call to see if we are a good fit. During this brief call, you can ask questions, share your concerns, and get a sense of my approach. It’s an opportunity for both of us to decide if working together feels right for you—no pressure, just clarity.

  • What should I expect in my first session?

Your first session (55 minutes) is primarily an opportunity to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your goals, concerns, and your personal history. Together, we’ll develop a plan that fits your needs and answer any questions you have about the process.

Together, we will discuss a preliminary treatment plan including type of therapy that would be helpful and how often we should meet.

  • If I want to move forward with starting therapy, what are the next steps?

You can request an initial psychotherapy appointment on the website under the “Book Now” section. You will be prompted to set up a profile and then you can pick whatever day/time works best for you!

Before your first appointment, I will email you paperwork to complete before our time together.

If it’s easier, you can always call and email me to book appointment.
